The Basic course is designed for the individual with little to no experience with diagnostic ultrasound. The Intermediate course is intended to provide additional hands-on practice and to serve as a preview of coming attractions for those who are not yet performing studies. A simplified review of ultrasound physics and technology is provided. Consideration is given to the choices in purchasing equipment and relating the various components to clinical tasks. Efficiency of examinations and medical records are emphasized.
