Class Descriptions
This comprehensive ABDOMINAL & CARDIAC workshop will include:

• Scanning technique-how to move the transducer for optimal imaging

• Physics of ultrasound-how this modality interacts with tissue

• Knobology-how to use ultrasound features and tools

• The business of ultrasound-how much to charge, what to charge for and how to make ultrasound a profit center in the hospital

• Ultrasound of the abdomen-beginner-bladder, liver and gall bladder, spleen, prostate

• Emergency ultrasonography-four quadrant approach-the 5 minute exam in the
ER patient

• Advanced ultrasound of abdomen-gastrointestinal tract, lymph nodes,
pancreas, adrenal glands, great vessels

• Ultrasound guided fine needle aspirate -technique and limitations

• Ultrasound guided tru-biopsies-technique and pitfalls

• Echocardiography-scanning technique to obtain standard 2d images, M-mode,
intro to PW, CW and Color Flow Doppler

• Cost: $750.00 USD. ($375 for those having purchased an ultrasound unit in the past 6 months.) Full rebate of course tuition for purchases made within 7 days following the seminar.
